Brethren, this Short Talk Bulletin Podcast episode was written by MW Bro Carl H. Claudy, first published in October 1960. I recently had the sad privilege of participating in a Masonic funeral for a Past Master from a neighboring town. It was even more poignant because this brother had been a student of mine during my former career as a high school math teacher. Once I learned of the situation surrounding his passing, I felt fiercely that I had failed him: as a brother, as a teacher, and as a bearer of that most important of Masonic tools, the Trowel. Please do share this episode with your brothers and your Lodge, and please, for your brothers and all the world, wield your Trowels mightily.
